Malik studied sound engineering while in college and during internships at the historic United Sound Studio. Recognizing his talents, Malik was promoted to Assistant Sound Engineer at United Sound.
Malik has worked with The Right Productions since turning 21. He has worked in every aspect of the company except food and beverage. During his tenure with the company Malik was licensed with a Level 3 license issued by the Michigan Gaming Control Board, and began coordinated local acts, audio support, served as part of the Stage Crew for Peter Frampton, Morris Day & The Time, and many others before advancing to the role of Production Coordinator for Average White Band, Jeffrey Osborne, Christopher Cross, Peobo Bryson, and others while TRP provided ten years of entertainment and productions services for the MGM Grand Detroit Casino.
Since 2003 Malik has served as road manager, stage manager and sound engineer for multi platinum artist, Najee, for South African tours, and throughout the United States. He has also served as road manager for Keisha Cole and Kem. Among the engagements Malik has been professionally involved with include the following events and venues:

These experiences have provided Malik with valuable insight and knowledge into production, artist relations and facility operations management. He has represented the venue and he has represented the artist. He has seen some of the best and worst practices in facilities. This makes him well qualified to head the Operations team at Chene Park.
